D. Michael Thorn
just a bass player...

Michael Thorn grew up in the Jackson, Mississippi area and began playing bass in 1971.  He made his living for over 20 years playing music in Nashville, Tennessee and has accompanied various artists on tours across the United States, Austria, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and Tunisia.  He has also done extensive studio session work as well as collaborating online for over 30 albums/CDs.

Having recently moved back to his hometown in Florence, Mississippi, Michael is playing with various bands in the area as well as working with local artists in the studio.  He continues his remote collaboration enterprises through on-line recording sessions with artists across the globe.
